Frequently asked questions
Definitions
Hire
“Hire” is when the employer offers the job to the Jobseeker. If the Jobseeker accepts the “Hire”, this will be considered a “Successful Hire”. On successful hire, the Jobseeker will be given full employer information and details to enable the successful Jobseeker to start work.
Shortlist
“Shortlist” is when the employer has narrowed down the number of potential jobseekers for the job. The employer has not yet decided who to hire. In this situation, the employer will wish to either meet or talk to the shortlisted jobseekers before deciding. If the Jobseeker accepts the “Shortlist”, this will be considered a “Successful Shortlist”. Instructions will be given to the shortlisted jobseekers on what to do next, i.e. whether to go to the employer’s premise for an interview or to be interviewed over the phone.
Part Time
Part time work refers to jobs that are hours, days or weeks (but less than 1 month) in duration. Wages are paid based on hourly rates. When payment is made will vary from company to company. This information is shown in the job posting.
Contract/Freelance
Contract / Freelance job refers to jobs that have a minimum duration of one month but less than one year, and those which are project based. The contract staff will normally be paid a monthly salary with payment made at the same time as permanent staff. If it is freelance job or project based, the service fee is per assignment basis.
Unlock Contact
“Unlock Contact” is when the employer wants to communicate directly with the Jobseeker to assess the Jobseeker prior to making any decision. Under this option, the Jobseeker’s contact details such as phone number and email address will be provided to the Employer. All subsequent actions by the Employer and Jobseeker will be outside the DuitDo-it app. Hence, all subsequent actions, consequences and benefits (e.g. refund policy) of choosing this option will not be applicable under this option.
The fee to unlock one jobseeker’s contact is RM20 for part time job and RM30 for contract/freelance job. This fee will be charged when you click “Unlock Contact”. Your wallet will be deducted accordingly. Your wallet must have sufficient credit before you can unlock contact.

I have very low success rate or have not been hired yet. Why?
The decision to hire is solely dependent on the employer. There are many factors which determine the employer’s decision-making. Examples include your experience and ability for the whole duration of the job advertised, e.g. if you are available for one day when they want somebody for two days. Did you upload a video resume? A video resume with an excellent pitch on why you make a good hire will go a long way towards getting you hired.

Step 1: Sign up for DuitDo-it. It is free. Complete your company profile.
Step 2: Post your job. If your job is for less than one month, choose part time. If your job is for one month or more, or is project-based, choose contract / freelance. If your type of job is not found in the drop down list, choose “Others”, and describe the job in the space provided. At the end, you can ask three (3) questions to help you select the Jobseeker. The answer will be either yes or no. Example: “Do you have a car?” “Can you speak English?” If you post fake jobs, you will be barred from using DuitDo-it. Any credit balance in your wallet will be forfeited.
Step 3: Wait for applications from Jobseekers. Review the Jobseekers’ profile, experience, their answers to your three questions and their video.
Step 4: Decide if you wish to reject, shortlist or hire the Jobseeker. Click “Shortlist” if you need to talk to or meet the Jobseeker before deciding. Click “Hire” if you have decided.
Step 5: Before you can click “Hire” or “Shortlist”, you must have at least the Applicable Fee in your wallet. If this is your first job posting, you will need to fill your wallet with your first top-up of at least RM25. See Section on “How does DuitDo-it charge”. Otherwise, just press “Post”.
Step 6: Wait for the Jobseeker to accept or reject your offer. Offer refers to either “Hire” or “Shortlist”. The Jobseeker has 3 hours to accept, after which, your offer lapses. To minimize the situation where Jobseeker is not aware of your offer, do not click “Hire” or “Shortlist” at night. If there is no answer from the Jobseeker, you may hire/shortlist another jobseeker.
Step 7: Once the Jobseeker accepts your offer, instructions which you had filled in earlier will be sent to the successful Jobseeker. You will also be given the successful Jobseeker’s contact details for you to contact the Jobseeker directly if you have further instructions.
Step 8: Your wallet will be deducted by the Applicable Fee when the Jobseeker accepts your offer.
Step 9: After the job is done, pay the Jobseeker. If you don’t pay the Jobseeker for work done, you will be barred from using DuitDo-it. Any credit balance in your wallet will be forfeited.
Step 10: Rate the Jobseeker.
How does DuitDo-it charge?
DuitDo-it works on the basis that you see what you are paying for before you pay for it. So you will only be charged when the Jobseeker you have selected accepts your “Hire” or “Shortlist” offer. You are NOT charged for posting your job, reviewing the profile of Jobseekers who apply or for Jobseekers who reject your “Hire” or “Shortlist” offer. You are only charged once, meaning if you proceed to hire the shortlisted candidate after interviewing, you will not be charged again.
You will get a refund (subject to terms and conditions less admin charges) if your chosen Jobseeker does not turn up for work. If the Shortlisted Jobseeker does not turn up for interview, you are allowed to shortlist one more jobseeker for free.
If the Jobseeker accepts your offer to hire or shortlist, the Applicable Fee will be charged and deducted from your wallet. You must have enough credit in your wallet before you can hire or shortlist. See question and answer on “What is the Applicable Fee for Part time jobs?” or “What is the Applicable Fee for Contract / Freelance jobs?” Job postings are free.
What is the Applicable Fee for Part time jobs?
The Applicable Fee is 9% of the Job Value accepted by the Jobseeker. For example:
Wage per hour = RM10.
Number of hours the Jobseeker accepts: 8 hours per day for 4 days = 32 hours.
Job value = RM320.
Applicable Fee = 9% of RM320 = RM28.80
The fee is based on successful hire / shortlist. So if two (2) Jobseekers accept your “Hire” or “Shortlist” offer, the Applicable Fee shall be 2 x RM28.80 =RM57.60.
Minimum fee
There is a minimum fee of RM25 for every “Hire” or “Shortlist” offer that is accepted by a Jobseeker. For example,
If the value of the job is RM200, 9% of RM200 = RM18, which is below the minimum fee of RM25. Hence, the Applicable Fee is RM25. If there are two successful Hires, the fee shall be 2 x RM25 = RM50.
All charges will be subject to government service tax, if applicable
There will not be any further charges if you decide to hire the shortlisted candidate after the interview.
What is the Applicable Fee for Contract / Freelance jobs?
The Applicable Fee for Hire is 5% of the Job Value accepted by the Jobseeker. For example:
Salary = RM1,000 per month.
Number of months: 3 months
Job value = RM3,000.
Applicable Fee = 5% of RM3,000 = RM150
The fee is based on successful hire. So if two (2) Jobseekers accept your “Hire” offer, the Applicable Fee shall be 2 x RM150 =RM300.
All charges will be subject to government service tax, if applicable
For “Shortlist”, the Applicable Fee is 3% of the Job Value accepted by the Jobseeker. You can shortlist as many Jobseeker as you wish but for every Jobseeker who accepts your Shortlist, 3% of the Job Value will be deducted from your wallet.
